The IRONMAN in photos – sports coverage of the most demanding competition in the world

Every year during the Ironman World Championship, the town of Kona on Big Island, Hawaii becomes the center of the world for triathletes. They travel from all over the globe to compete for fame and glory in the long-distance multi-sport race. Triathletes have to qualify in advance for a chance to participate in the event which consists of a 3.6 km swim, 180 km bike ride, and 42.2 km run in tropical temperatures.

Sports coverage from an athlete’s perspective

Sebastian Kuhn, drehmomente.de’s CEO and photographer, used to participate in triathlons himself and has been a regular guest at the Ironman for many years. Manufacturers of brand name products, magazines, and athletes value his photo coverages of competitions for their authenticity. Only a photographer familiar with the challenges of these events is able to capture them in fascinating, lively pictures.
