Fast-paced cycling track shoot for CUBE Bikes

The premium bikes manufactured by CUBE of Germany are used in diverse disciplines including downhill racing and triathlons. This is why world-class triathletes Andreas Dreitz and Andreas Böcherer rely on CUBE’s bikes. To shoot a sports coverage, we accompanied Dreitz and Böcherer to a bike fitting session at the cycling track in Augsburg, Germany. The photos created during the shoot were used by CUBE for advertising purposes on its website and in social and print media.

Optimal ergonomics for top performance

Over the course of the fitting session, the ergonomics of the athletes’ positions on their bike seats were adjusted and readjusted numerous times. Diagnostic measurements were conducted continuously to show the ideal position in which each cyclist’s physique, posture, and technique would be in perfect unison with his bike. The gear and helmets also were tested because they, of course, impact the athletes’ ergonomics as well. All in all, this highly technical and pictorial process is extremely fascinating as can be seen in the dynamic photos taken by our photographer Sebastian Kuhn.
